Summary

The Insurance Specialist role is critical to the agencies Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the organization. This position requires a dedicated, dependable, and enthusiastic individual with excellent Customer Service skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage a comprehensive daily report of uninsured or expired certificates
  • Review certificates of insurance for applicable coverage requirements
  • Manage an email box of renewal certificates, update in system, and save in the customer file
  • Open, sort and scan inbound mail containing certificates of insurance to the customer file
  • Update the systems with information obtained from the certificate
  • Apply approval to other departments requests for insurance verification on existing and/or new business deals
  • When required, reach out to the customer or their agent of record to resolve outstanding insurance requirements
  • Preform special projects and duties as requested by manager

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and aptitude to learn other Agency applications
  • Basic knowledge of insurance
